This is the first appearance of Artist Guy. He is supposed to be the comic version of the real life me, as opposed to Darrell, the exaggerated version of the comic version of me. I put Artist Guy in the comic because I liked the idea of the 'cartoonist' character I see in comics such as "Real Life," by Greg Dean and "Melonpool," by Steve Troop. Plus, the character gave me another way to poke fun at the strip and myself.
